BHATTATHIRIPAD. A disciple of Artist Ganapathy Peringode Bhattathiripad has mastery in abstract paintings based on nature using different textures and techniques. Having been influenced by the paintings of the temple walls of Kerala from his boyhood Bhattathiripad started thinking more in terms of color than form. His tendency to move away from figuration is more personal and aesthetic than what is often believed to be. It is a kind of abstract concept of his own self that ignites him to get more involved in the color patterns than figural experiments. He keeps a kind of spirituality of color that is lyrical as well as aggressive.
